Constantine A. Despotakis (“Gus”) is a Partner in the White Plains office. His practice focuses on banking and banking litigation with special emphasis on retail and wholesale payment systems, negotiable instruments (UCC Articles 3 & 4) and funds transfer law (including ACH and UCC Article 4-A) and letter of credit law. He also has extensive knowledge and experience in commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, judgment enforcement, litigation supervision and management, general commercial law, contracts, real estate litigation, loss control and recovery, and legal process. His financial institution clients include Bank of America, Amalgamated Bank and Hudson Valley Bank.
Before joining the firm, Gus spent 20 years providing general banking and commercial legal services as in-house counsel to National Westminster Bancorp, Inc./ National Westminster Bank USA.
