Kathie D. King is a Partner in the Philadelphia office. Her legal practice focuses on the defense of complex civil litigation. With more than 20 years of experience, Kathie has litigated in state and federal courts in numerous jurisdictions at trial and on appeal.

Kathie often is retained in high-dollar commercial litigation where creative trial or appellate strategy is needed. She has represented a variety of clients in domestic and international disputes involving enterprise risks, emerging technologies, financial services, real estate transactions, construction losses, product liability, health care, business torts, intellectual property, and punitive damages. She also has handled cases involving first-and third-party insurance, primary and excess coverage, property insurance, reinsurance, insurance fraud, and bad faith. Kathie's recent cases have been litigated in Florida, Texas, California, Kentucky, West Virginia, New Mexico, Arizona, Ohio, North Carolina, Michigan, Indiana, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She also has litigated cases under Canadian and Liberian law.

Kathie was selected as an inaugural member of the J. Willard O'Brien Inn of Court, sponsored by the Villanova University School of Law, which is dedicated to professionalism and civility in litigation. Kathie served as a law clerk for the Honorable Robert F. Kelly in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas in Media, PA.
