Linda K. Smith

Linda Smith is Of Counsel in the New Jersey office. Her practice is focused on the representation of banks and commercial lenders. 

Linda has extensive experience in negotiating, documenting and closing secured transactions, including asset-based loans, secured lines of credit, equipment financings, commercial real estate loans, and leasing transactions. She also represents lenders in ordinary-course amendments, in work-outs of problem loans, in forbearance matters, and in debtor-in-possession financings.

Linda’s transactional experience includes her representation of agents and lead lenders in closing syndicated and club transactions, sellers and purchasers of participations, and sellers and purchasers in loan portfolio sales. She also acts as review counsel for purchasing lenders in syndications and assists secured lenders conducting asset liquidations and letter of credit banks in bond financing transactions.

Linda advises business clients in financing and banking matters. She represents business borrowers in bank financing and in factoring transactions. She also assists business clients in securing and guaranteeing their business lines of credit and sales on credit terms, as well as secured asset and stock sales, derivative transactions, specialized service agreements, local and specialized opinions, and Uniform Commercial Code issues.
