Thomas R. Manisero

Thomas R. Manisero is a Partner in the New York and White Plains offices. He is a member of the firm's Executive Committee and Chairman of the firm's Commercial Services Practice Team as well as the Accountants Legal Representation Practice Team. 

Tom has extensive and varied experience in transactional matters.  He has advised clients with respect to mergers and acquisitions of professional services firms and has negotiated and prepared partnership and shareholders agreements, along with separation and termination agreements.  Tom has also been heavily involved with the reorganization of various other business entities and serves as the outside general counsel for one of the world's top-10 accounting networks.

As a “commercial litigator,” Tom has extensive experience representing accountants, insurance agents and brokers, securities broker-dealers, and other professionals. He regularly handles professional liability and other commercial cases involving the federal and state securities laws, federal and state taxation, RICO, ERISA, accounting standards, limited partnerships, bankruptcy, insurance and reinsurance, and insurance insolvency.

Tom has written extensively and has given numerous presentations on a variety of legal issues. He is also a frequent lecturer on accountants’ professional liability risk management and ethics.
