Albany
Peter A. Lauricella is a Partner in the Albany office. He has been extensively involved in representing businesses in a wide-variety of transactions in addition to significant litigation experience. On the transactional side, Peter handles the drafting and review of contracts, leases and credit and security agreements, and counsels clients on corporate finance, UCC issues and secured transactions. His litigation practice focuses on complex commercial and corporate litigation; real estate litigation; construction litigation; creditors' rights; internet law; and the defense of professionals, including accountants, insurance agents and brokers, engineers, architects, directors and officers, and real estate agents.
Additionally, Peter assists clients in complying with the ever-increasing maze of regulations that affect all business and has represented businesses in a wide variety of government investigations involving their business practices. He has experience handling proceedings challenging the actions of both state and municipal governments, most particularly, procurement-related litigation involving the award or denial of government contracts. Peter has extensive experience handling all phases of litigation in state, federal, administrative and bankruptcy courts, including trials and appeals, arbitrations, mediations and administrative hearings.
Previously, Peter taught contract, UCC and commercial law at a local business school. He is actively involved in various community groups, including a local municipal business corridor development group, and serves as Finance Committee Chair of his local YMCA. Additionally, Peter was recently appointed Vice Chairman of the Albany County Ethics Commission by the Albany County Legislature.
