Richard L. Reiter is Of Counsel in the White Plains office. He has been involved in litigation and arbitration proceedings and has negotiated resolutions of multimillion-dollar claims.
Rich has extensive legal experience in complex commercial matters, including the following disputes:
- Counseled a minority member of a corporation that owned more than $100 million in real estate assets on its rights under an operating agreement.
- Successfully argued that an option contract to purchase cooperative shares of a closely held corporation was valid and enforceable and that the other shareholders and co-op were required to consent to the sale.
- Advised clients as to their partnership rights, including their ability to control and bind the partnership.
- Negotiated a resolution of partnership disputes by obtaining an early termination of a partnership agreement involving building management services, including the release of a noncompete clause.
- Litigated in New York State Surrogate’s Courts regarding the control of various real estate assets and the ability of corporate members to sell such assets.
